Our pump development of the HFP-396 started in 2013, starting with the same proven 30mm design from our HFP-389 pump used in KTM and Husqvarna applications and specifically designed for sustained hot climate operation.  A weak point of the factory fuel pump motor is its inability to withstand extreme temperatures.

Tools required for repair: Hammer and large screw driver to spin the plastic retaining nut off fuel tank, knife or cutting pliers to cut 2 small wires, pliers to crimp splice connectors for new pump wires. Small screw driver or knife to pry filter screen from fuel pump. It’s that easy!
